Dinner Picker Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 20, 2026.

About this policy

This policy describes Dinner Picker 2.0, developed by Seth Parsons. Contact: sethparsons6@icloud.com.

Recipes and kitchen data

Dinner Picker stores recipes, ingredient quantities, meal plans, grocery lists, categories, and related preferences on your device. The iCloud-enabled app also uses Apple iCloud and CloudKit to synchronize kitchen data and support sharing. There is no separate Dinner Picker username or password.

iCloud and household sharing

Apple processes iCloud data under its own terms and privacy policy. When you share a kitchen, people you invite can access the shared kitchen according to their permissions. Apple’s sharing interface manages invitations and participants. The app does not ask for your Apple account password. The developer does not operate a separate recipe-hosting server.

Individual recipe links

When you choose Send to Dinner Picker, the app uploads a separate copy of that recipe to your private iCloud storage and creates a read-only sharing link. Anyone with the link can access that recipe copy. It does not grant access to the rest of your kitchen. The shared copy is independent of later edits or deletion of the original recipe; recipient imports are also independent copies. Creating and opening these links requires connectivity and iCloud. Sharing as text remains available separately.

Support emails

Contacting support is optional. If you send an email, the developer receives your email address, message, and anything you attach. Dinner Picker prepares app version/build, device model, and operating-system version to help troubleshoot; you can review or remove these details before sending. These details do not include a device serial number or advertising identifier. Support correspondence is used to answer your request and troubleshoot the app.

Support retention

Support correspondence and attachments are retained as needed to resolve requests and maintain support records. For questions about support correspondence or to request deletion, email sethparsons6@icloud.com.

Advertising and tracking

Dinner Picker includes no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking code. The app does not sell kitchen content. This statement covers Dinner Picker’s app code; Apple separately handles App Store, device, and iCloud services under its policies.

Sharing and exporting

Recipe sharing, support emails, and backup exports happen when you choose them. The destination apps and services you select handle the exported content under their own policies. Copies sent to another person or exported to Files are outside the app’s control.

Removing data

You can delete recipes and manage kitchens within the app. A kitchen owner can delete an owned kitchen; an invited participant can leave a shared kitchen. Keep at least one kitchen by creating an empty one before removing the last. Leaving a shared kitchen does not delete the owner’s copy. Removing access cannot erase copies another person has already exported. Synchronization may retain technical deletion records to propagate changes between devices. iCloud changes require connectivity and may take time to synchronize. Deleting the app removes its local app container but does not by itself guarantee removal of data held in iCloud or external backups. Manage any independent backups where you saved them.

Contact and updates

For privacy questions, email sethparsons6@icloud.com. This policy may be updated when the app’s data practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
